Competition to win a bunch of seasonal flowers or a beautiful Camelia corsage made from fairtrade cotton

Please note: my Reader Survey 2011 is now closed.

I’m doing a bit of a reader survey, to help shape what I do with the website and blog in the future.  So if:

  • you’ve used The Natural Wedding Company website and directory
  • would be happy to spend about 10 minutes filling in a survey to share your thoughts and ideas
  • and would like to win one of the two lovely prizes mentioned in the heading

Here’s what to do…

Send me an email to charlie@thenaturalweddingcompany.co.uk with the subject line ‘Survey’ and I will reply with a link.  I’ve thought about adding the link to the website and blog, but I’m really keen to get feedback from people who’ve used the directory, not just the blog.

The prizes

As a bit of an incentive and a ‘thank you’ I’ve decided to buy two gifts as prizes from businesses listed in the directory.  I’ve picked these particular businesses to celebrate those businesses who were part of my wedding

Someone will win a bunch of seasonal flowers from The Real Cut Flower Garden, grown by Charlie Ryrie in her flowerfield in Hereford – the same place where my wedding flowers came from.

This is an example of the sort of bunch of flowers you could win

The other prize is a pretty Camelia corsage from A Alicia Handmade Wedding Accessories handmade by Anna who also made my stunning blue garter from vintage ribbon.  The Camelia corsage is made from fairtrade, organic fabric and the winner will be able to choose what colour they’d like it in.  It could be worn by a bridesmaid or the mother-of-the-bride, or even just popped onto a cardigan or jacket.

I am only able to send the prizes within the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland) and will pick winners at random after the survey closing date on Wednesday 27th July 2011.  Regretfully, I will only be able to contact the winners.

So don’t forget, send me an email to charlie@thenaturalweddingcompany.co.uk with the subject line ‘Survey’ and I’ll send you the link – and remember if you live in the UK to leave your contact details at the end of the survey.

Vintage inspired wedding accessories from A Alicia Handmade

A Alicia Handmade Wedding Accessories is the new dedicated wedding collection from the lovely Anna who started her business in 2009.

Her exquisite wedding accessories – lace and ribbons garters, clutch bags, wrist corsages, hair combs, and embroidered ring pillows – are inspired by vintage fashion.

Many are even made from vintage fabrics, ribbons and lace, but often with a contemporary twist.  Anna’s best-selling Big Bow Garter uses gorgeous vintage ribbon but is brought up to date by the simplicity and boldness of its design.  We think it’s fab!

Ethical and environmental issues are at the heart of A Alicia Handmade Accessories, with organic fairtrade cotton and vintage materials used wherever possible.

Anna told me “I think more and more people are becoming concerned with how their consumer choices impact the world and the people in it, and I’m proud to be part of the move towards more sustainable fashion.”

Anna is constantly adding one-off pieces made from vintage remnants and reclaimed beads and sequins to her main collection – she has recently created a range of stunning clutch bags in fairtrade organic cotton velvet, embellished with gorgeous vintage millinery flowers.

If you’re looking for something extra special Anna loves making bespoke orders – “I really enjoying working with brides and grooms to create something that’s just right for them.”  Recently she created a huge flowered hair accessory in organic fairtrade cotton to curve around the brides hair do.

Anna is offering The Natural Wedding Company readers a fantastic 10% discount – the discount is available until the end of October – simply enter the discount code SEPT10 at checkout.

You can use the discount at A Alicia Handmade Wedding Accessories and A Alicia Handmade Accessories.
